VOID OF COURSE is a platform for female identified visionaries to explore and create new pathways to the Great Mystery through performance, art, sound, healing, and discussion. VOID OF COURSE began as a three month long residency hosted by the Women's Center For Creative Work and continues as a curatorial platform to hold space for unknown thresholds.

“Void”, from the Middle English “unoccupied” speaks to the dark places within our psyches, where “logic” and “reason” have vacated in order for something new to play out and take form. In this spiritual location, this platform holds space for female-identified beings on a mystical quest as we share what has been produced through our personal and collective unknowns. In creatively engaging with our own journeys into uncharted space, we heal ourselves and make accessible our capacity for giving artistic and spiritual authority to ourselves. Ultimately, we are choosing to celebrate our integrated identities as women, artists, seers, and healers and offer ourselves power and transcendence in a patriarchal spiritual world which does not readily give us agency, and a capitalistic art world which does not readily give us place.

“Void of Course” refers to an astrological term for a period of time when the Moon is transitioning between signs in the zodiac, and is unaspected by any other celestial influence – the Moon charts its own path.

VOID OF COURSE IS ORGANIZED BY GRACE KREDELL AND ELIZA SWANN
